From the South (Kalamazoo)

• Take US-131 north to the Wealthy Street exit (this will be a left-hand exit).
• Turn right onto Wealthy and proceed to Jefferson.
• Turn left on Jefferson. Hospital is located on your right.

From the Southwest (Holland)

• Take I-196 East (toward Grand Rapids) to US-131 south.
• Take US-131 south to the Wealthy Street exit.
• Turn left on Wealthy and proceed to Jefferson.
• Turn left on Jefferson. Hospital is located on your right.

From the North (Cadillac/Big Rapids)

• Take US-131 South to the Wealthy Street exit.
• Turn left on Wealthy and proceed to Jefferson.
• Turn left on Jefferson. Hospital is located on your right.

From the East (Lansing or Detroit)

• Take I-96 west toward Grand Rapids. After passing the Cascade exit, stay in the left lane. I-96 will split into I-196 to the left and will stay I-96 to the right.
• Take the I-196 west towards Holland to the College Avenue exit (you will pass the Fuller exit.)
• Turn left at the top of the College Avenue ramp and take College to Cherry Street. (You will go through lights at Michigan, Lyon, Fountain, and Fulton.) (College Avenue becomes one-way after Fountain Street.)
• Turn right onto Cherry to Jefferson (going through light at Lafayette.)
• Turn left onto Jefferson. Hospital is on your left.

From the West (Grand Haven/Muskegon)

• Take I-96 east (toward Lansing) to US-131 south.
• Take US-131 South to the Wealthy Street exit.
• Turn left on Wealthy and proceed to Jefferson.
• Turn left on Jefferson. Hospital is located on your right.

Road Work Detours

Wealthy Street Closing Monday
Wealthy Street between Division and LaGrave will be closed to all traffic, starting Monday, March 24 until Memorial Day.

Eastbound access to Saint Mary’s will be rerouted. Instead of driving Wealthy eastbound Jefferson, you will turn left (north) on Division, right (east) on Cherry, then right (south) on Jefferson to get to Saint Mary’s.

If you park south of Wealthy Street, please follow the detour signs to access your parking lots. The city of Grand Rapids will maintain pedestrian walkways at all times for associates who cross Wealthy Street to their parking lots.

Cherry Street Closing to Through Traffic
Starting Wednesday, March 26, Cherry Street will be closed to through traffic only from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, between Jefferson St. and Lafayette Ave.

During these hours, you can access The Lacks Cancer Center’s valet parking only when coming from Lafayette Ave.

The 245 Cherry Street Building can be accessed only when coming from Jefferson Street, and the parking lot of the 245 Cherry Street Building may also be accessed from State Street.

Barricades and detour signs will direct motorists. Cherry Street will reopen to through traffic at 3:30 p.m. until 7 a.m. and will also stay open for through traffic during the weekends.
